Claressa Shields has claimed she’s the most "accomplished boxer in all of boxing right now".The reigning WBC, WBA and IBF middleweight champion took to Twitter to make the assertion. She shared a Twitter post from boxing outlet Champside, which had in turn been shared by American basketball player Damian Lillard on Instagram.“If the P4P was about accomplishments, you would never see a list without Claressa Shields as #1,” the post read.“She’s the most accomplished boxer in all of boxing right now. Also the most hated, how ironic.”Shields shared the post with the caption: “FACTS @Dame_Lillard & @theCHAMPSIDE !!!!”She later backed her claim up: “Big UNDISPUTED not the Little one! Meaning I’m the ONLY 2x Undisputed champ in the 4 belt era! Y’all can hate all y’all want but I’m the ONE !”

The 27-year-old has held multiple world titles in three weight classes, and is the only boxer in history, female or male, to hold all four major world titles in boxing simultaneously, in two weight classes.

Shields also has two Olympic gold medals to her name, triumphing in the middleweight division at London 2012 and Rio 2016.

She is currently waiting to take on Savannah Marshall, the reigning WBO middleweight champion.

The highly-anticipated bout was pushed back to September after Marshall had a “small operation” for an arm injury.

Shields did not react to the news well, accusing her British rival of faking the injury and hinting she would make a return to MMA instead.

This has become even more likely after the American was spotted training with UFC legend Henry Cejudo in his gym in Arizona.

Shields launched her MMA career in 2020 by signing a three-year contract with PFL. She won her first contest against Brittney Elkin last year, but lost the second against Abigail Montes via split decision.

There are fears Shields could delay the fight against Marshall further by returning to MMA, and she has been urged by promoter Ben Shalom to be “sensible”.
