Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson?

For many years, boxing fans have bickered in bars, pubs and smokers' corners over who would have won if they'd fought in their primes.

Supporters on either side of the debate have been able to make a strong case for their favourite over the years on social media.

Both went on to achieve great things, winning loads of belts, scoring loads of knockouts and earning loads of money in the process.

Unfortunately however there is no way we will ever get the chance to see them compete against each other in the flesh.

But thankfully, YouTube channel 'Boxing Fight Simulations' have simulated the fight for us using EA Sports' Fight Night Champion video game, which has gone down a treat with fans old and new alike.

And while it may not be the most accurate representation of what would have actually happened, it still makes for great viewing anyway.

Ali quickly takes control in the first and second, but it's round three where all hell decides to break loose.

In a truly unbelievable third round, Ali floors Tyson before getting dropped himself.

The following round the same thing happens again, although this time it's the other way round, but somehow Ali survives.

And 'Iron Mike' is knocked to the ground two more times before he eventually succumbs to defeat and is unable to beat the count.

Few could have predicted that, except perhaps Tyson himself.

Speaking on Michael Rapaport's podcast in 2019, he said: "I always like to think I'm a bad motherf**ker. A vicious motherf**ker. I don't give a f**k, but that's the part where he, Ali, overshines me, because I can't understand a man that's willing to die for this. I talked the sh*t, but he's the real deal.

"Ali is a giant. There's no way other fighters can match him. He'd die for this sh*t. I'm not going to die for this. That's real talk. Ali is a savage, he's an animal. He's a different breed of person. He's not like us.

"This is the thing about Ali: When we were watching him get beat up as an old man-even when I was a young kid-he's not going to quit, you've got to kill him. He won't quit.

"He was getting beat up every round, he had the sh*t kicked out of him by Larry Holmes. Is the champ done? No, come on, let me out. They wouldn't stop. He had to stand up there and take the beating like a man. He wouldn't quit.

"In that way, I respect the guy so much. I have so much admiration for the guy. So much, but it's just not right to do that as a human being. Just say, 'It's over. I'll come back another day. It's over. You got me.'"
