Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is ready to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka on a permanent basis this summer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

What is the latest on Wan-Bissaka's future?

The right-back endured a torrid season under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, playing just 26 times across all competitions, and failing to play a single minute of football in the final five Premier League games - three of those occasions saw him fail to even make the match-day squad.

That has prompted speculation Wan-Bissaka could be heading for the exit door with his former club Crystal Palace touted among those possible destinations for him.

What did Romano say about Man Utd's plan for Wan-Bissaka?

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Romano indicated that United are willing to let Wan-Bissaka go this summer, and that rather than accepting a potential loan offer, they are keen to hold out for a permanent deal.

"I'm NOT worried about Ten Hag!" Rival fans talk Man United on The Football Terrace...

He said: "The Wan-Bissaka situation has to be resolved because Manchester United are open to letting go of him in case they receive a proposal.

"At the moment, some approaches for a potential loan but they want to wait in case they receive a permanent deal from some other club. So, the situation is open for Wan-Bissaka."

Ten Hag right to let Wan-Bissaka go at Man Utd

The £90k-a-week star has failed to really kick on since his big-money move from Crystal Palace a couple of years ago, and it's telling that Ten Hag has seemingly given the greenlight for his exit without getting the chance to assess him in person during pre-season this summer.

One of the biggest criticisms of the full-back has of course been his struggles going forward, with former United defender Gary Neville admitting that it is an area of his game that is sorely lacking.

He said: "The idea that you are going Aaron Wan-Bissaka into Trent Alexander-Arnold or Kyle Walker is never going to happen.

"It's a bit of an old-fashioned approach because nowadays full-backs are expected to be wingers, score goals, set up goals, take free-kicks and penalties. This is a little bit of a throwback."

Indeed, in his 126 games for the club since joining from Palace, the right-back has delivered just ten assists and scored two goals - compare that to Liverpool's Alexander-Arnold who has managed a quite incredible 62 assists in 226 games, as well as 12 goals.

Cutting their losses on Wan-Bissaka and moving on from him seems to be the right way to go now that Ten Hag has come into the club.
