Chael Sonnen gives his prediction for ‘can’t miss’ UFC Fight Night main event

Here is what MMA legend Chael Sonnen had to say about Calvin Kattar vs Josh Emmett ahead of UFC Fight Night on Saturday 18th June 2022.

Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett are set to collide tonight in the main event of UFC Fight Night from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

Controversial former UFC fighter and MMA legend Chael Sonnen discussed the fight ahead of the main event clash taking place and gave his predictions for the fight.

Here is what MMA legend Chael Sonnen had to say about Calvin Kattar vs Josh Emmett ahead of UFC Fight Night on Saturday 18th June 2022.

Chael Sonnen on Kattar vs Emmett

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Sonnen would first state how big of a Fight Night main event this truly is, saying that it is not a fight to miss.

He said: “My official prediction is you're gonna miss one of the great fights [if you don’t watch]. You ever hear people say ‘this fight can't be boring, who's gonna win this fight? The fans’ you hear that stupid stuff right? It makes your stomach sick.

“But sometimes, you have good reason to say it. I mean the fact that every Calvin Kattar fight that he's ever been in is wildly interesting, in conjunction with what an incredible power punching finisher Emmett is?

“It frustrates me that Emmett has not got more praise, it really does. Neither one of those guys does a great job of bringing interest to the fight. But as far as fights that have gone on on a Saturday, by sitting down and turning on ESPN? This is the best in memory."

Sonnen gives his prediction

Sonnen would also give his prediction during the video, saying that he can see Emmett taking the win on the night.

“My prediction [is] Emmett's going to win this fight. Now Kattar is as good of a pure boxer as this sport has, he truly is. Kattar is one of these guys that could get into the boxing ring and not embarrass himself.

“Emmett is one of these guys that's gone under the radar, this guy is SO good and he is so fun to watch.

"What makes a guy fun to watch? If he's a power puncher? Maybe, or that he's good with the submissions? Maybe. But one ingredient that all guys that go into the category of ‘fun to watch’ are is that they'll fight you all night long, they've got heart.”
