The Carabao Cup is also known as the EFL or League Cup and this is because only the teams from the four professional divisions in England can take part.

No doubt for the teams in the Championship, League One and League Two, this is a great chance to face opposition in the Premier League and try to perform a big upset.

Draw Dates

At the early stages of the Carabao Cup, the teams are divided into two groups, North and South. The North sides will only play teams in the North and the South Sides will only play teams in the South.

The dates for the Draws are confirmed one at a time, the only one we know at the moment is the first round draw. This involves all the teams in the Championship, League One and League Two. Premier League teams are not involved yet.
