With a rematch announced between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk for August 20, at the Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia, people have been quick to send advise on what AJ needs to do differently this time around. In a video posted to Twitter by Everything Boxing, some key areas for improvement were highlighted ahead of the rematch. The video in question was captioned “AJ MUST go for that body from the first bell.”The footage showed glimpses of where Joshua got some success in the first fight, targeting the body of the challenger. However, he didn't utilise it enough, something he must do this time around if he wants to be victorious. The 32-year-old is looking to become three-time heavyweight world champion after previously losing his titles to the Ukrainian when they first met in September 2021.In the comments below the video, one user said: “A ‘single focus plan’ against someone like Usyk is dangerous. The moment he knows you’re looking at one target only, he’ll set you up in traps. AJ’s gotta make it dirty, borderline illegal, barge into him, throw elbows, step on feet. He’s gotta fight for his life.”

Elsewhere Eddy Reynoso, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez’s trainer, spoke to Fight Hub TV, urging Joshua to make the most of his physical advantages and throw “better combinations” in the rematch.

He said: “He has a lot of good traits, a lot of physical traits, but doesn’t take advantage of them.”

Johnny Nelson, meanwhile, spoke to Planet Sport, saying: “I think it’s a hard fight. I think it’s a harder rematch for AJ than the Ruiz rematch was. It’s not an impossible task or ask. I think AJ has all the beatings of Usyk.

"I’ve seen Usyk from the early days, seven fights in as a pro I said this young man is the heir apparent. The problem is, once everyone knows who you are and what you can do then they can plot a plan for you.

"And now with AJ, he just has to change tactics, change style, change intentions on what he wants to do and how he’s gonna approach the fight. So I don’t know what tactics he’ll choose, but what I’m saying is that it’s not an impossible task for AJ, but it’s a tough one.”
