Tottenham Hotspur have already been busy in the transfer market and their early business has resulted in it 'feeling different this time', according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

Spurs are preparing for a return to the Champions League, thanks to finishing fourth in the Premier League standings last season, and they have wasted no time in adding reinforcements to head coach Antonio Conte's squad.

Who have Spurs signed so far?

Fabio Paratici was appointed as Spurs' managing director last summer, with one of the key components of his remit being to attract fresh faces to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The first star to land in north London following the climax of the 2021/22 campaign was Ivan Perisic, who will officially make the move after his Inter Milan contract expires at the end of the month.

Paratici exploited the free agent market once again as Fraser Forster will join when his deal with Premier League rivals Southampton reaches its end next week.

Meanwhile, the latest acquisition has been Yves Bissouma, who has been lured from Brighton & Hove Albion in a switch which could be worth as much as £35million.

Tying up early deals for Perisic, Forster and Bissouma is a far-cry from what Spurs fans have become accustomed to, with Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski being the only additions in January and both heading to the club in the final hours of the window.

What has Dharmesh Sheth said about the situation?

Sheth believes Tottenham supporters will be overjoyed with Paratici taking strides to conclude the club's transfer business before pre-season gets underway.

The Sky Sports reporter is impressed with the early deals Spurs have struck, with the strategy moving away from previous windows.

Sheth told GIVEMESPORT: "If you look back in the history of transfer windows, normally Tottenham go to the last day.

"They always seem to do something on the final day and Tottenham fans wonder 'why didn't we do that earlier?' because they could have been in for pre-season and they could have got used to the squad.

"It feels different this time because they're getting their business done. Ivan Perisic has joined already, Fraser Forster has signed on a free transfer to provide competition for Hugo Lloris and Yves Bissouma has joined as well."

Who else are Spurs looking to sign?

It is understood that Tottenham are looking to beat north London rivals Arsenal to the signing of Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus' £91,000-per-week Etihad Stadium contract will expire next summer, potentially bolstering the chances of a deal being struck.

Bayer Leverkusen central defender Piero Hincapie is also on Conte's shortlist of targets, but at least £34million will be needed to land him.

Meanwhile, Spurs are thought to be the frontrunners to sign right-back Djed Spence from Championship side Middlesbrough.
