UFC president Dana White couldn’t help but praise ‘superhero’ Kevin Holland after his most recent crime-stopping exploits.

One thing that we’ve come to know about Kevin Holland in the last few years is that there are very few fighters more entertaining than him in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. From his honesty to his fight style to the way he talks to his opponents, ‘Trailblazer’ truly is in a league of his own.

In addition to his UFC tenure, though, Holland also has a habit of stopping crime from time to time.

In the last eight months alone there have been four instances in which the 29-year-old has been helping to get criminals off of the streets. He’s chased after and stopped a carjacker, helped prevent a shooting, rescued a driver from an overturned tractor-trailer, and most recently apprehended a man accused of stealing goods from a shop.

The latter of those incidents actually happened right before fight night last Saturday with Holland going about his preparations before seeing yet another chaotic scenario unfold before his very eyes.

When asked about what went down in the bout and with the robbery, Dana White was full of good things to say about the youngster.

“Yeah, I heard that [Holland stopping another crime], I love the kid. I love Means too who’s a tough, durable badass kid who always brings it and always comes to fight, and yeah, good fight.”

White was then asked about how he tends to respond to Holland’s crime-fighting ways outside of the cage.

“Yeah, no this kid is a f***ing superhero I guess man, what are you gonna do, you know what I mean? As long as he doesn’t get hurt.”

Back in business

Since heading back down to welterweight, Kevin Holland has impressed in a big way with wins over Alex Oliveira and, after the weekend, Tim Means.

The first was a TKO triumph but against Means, Kevin was able to showcase some of his new skills from takedown defence to wrestling to his obvious submission prowess.

When you add all of that together, it makes for one hell of a prospect.
