The Shapeshifter promo is well underway in FIFA 22 and is about to get even better as there have been leaks reporting the release of Shapeshifter Hero cards.

The Shapeshifter promo arrived on June 17th and brought with it some insane new cards that had wacky position changes combined with some absolutely insane stat boosts. They are branded as EA as a 'new dimension of player' that have the ability to influence the way you build your squad.

Team 1 consisted of some fantastic names. Lionel Messi, Eden Hazard, Heung-Min Son and Alphonso Davies are just a few of the names that feature in the star-studded lineup, with team two set to be released this coming Friday.

But now there has been images circulating reporting the release of a new type of Shapeshifter. One that comes in the form of a hero card.

Leaked Shapeshifter Hero Card

As found on the official EA website, here is a photo that flaunts the idea of a Shapeshifter Hero card.

The purple glow around the middle card indicates the idea that a Shapeshifter Hero/Heroes are coming to FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

This would be an insane addition to the game, with the hero no doubt getting a crazy boost in stats combined with a new position, which can enhance players teams monumentally.

There are a number of heroes who could be up for getting one of these cards, but who are the most likely candidates? Let's take a look at some of the options below.

As predicted by FUTDONK, here are two heroes that could very well be featuring on our screens soon.

David Ginola

Wow - what a card this would be.

Probably the most desirable hero card in the game anyway, David Ginola as a Shapeshifter Hero would be borderline unfair in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

His base card is originally a LW, but he could be converted to ST in what would be one of the best cards in the game.

They could also change his league, which would be the most unbelievable aspect of it. Right now he's a Ligue 1 card, due to his time at PSG - but FUTDONK has him down as a Premier League card from his time at Tottenham Hotspur.

Jorge Campos

A slightly more rogue option, but one that would be received well by the community - Jorge Campos could become a Shapeshifter Hero.

He could be the first player in FIFA 22 to make the move from GK to ST, which would create an entirely unique card for the game.
