Chelsea are desperate to offload Romelu Lukaku as Thomas Tuchel 'doesn't fancy him' and wants to welcome replacements to Stamford Bridge, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Blues have entered a new era after a Todd Boehly-led consortium completed their £4.25billion takeover last month, but it appears Lukaku's days in west London could be numbered.

What's the latest news involving Lukaku?

Lukaku appears to be nearing a return to Inter Milan less than 12 months on from leaving the San Siro for Chelsea in a club-record £97.5million deal.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed the Italian giants have submitted a loan offer which would see the Blues bank £6million plus potential add-ons.

Inter are understood to be optimistic of reaching an agreement with Chelsea, but the proposal does not include the obligation to make Lukaku's temporary return to Milan permanent.

In an interview with Radio Rai, via BBC, chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that Lukaku is among Inter's top targets during the summer transfer window.

However, he admitted financial issues will need to be considered before concluding a deal for the 102-cap Belgium international.

What has Dean Jones said about Lukaku?

Jones understands that key figures behind the scenes are keen to cut ties with Lukaku at Chelsea.

The transfer insider feels the Blues are hoping to secure a big-money fee for the striker as head coach Tuchel looks to strengthen his squad prior to the window slamming shut on September 1.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "Now people just want him gone because Tuchel doesn't fancy him and no agreement has come about in terms of how Chelsea are going to play to suit his style.

"They want him out the door so that they can start to bring in replacements."

Why are Chelsea keen to get Lukaku off their books?

The 29-year-old may have scored 15 goals during his first season back in west London, but he failed to nail down a regular starting berth despite Chelsea parting with a club-record fee in order to seal his return last summer.

Lukaku also caused friction between himself and Tuchel by admitting in an Italian interview, via Sky Sports, that he was 'not happy' with his lack of game-time shortly before the turn of the year.

The frontman's comments turned heads and although his £350,000-per-week still has four years remaining, this summer could be the right time to part ways with Lukaku, who has made 59 appearances during his two spells at Stamford Bridge.
