The Brazilian forward has emerged as a potential option for Spurs in recent weeks, but it seems that getting a deal over the line for him will not be easy.
What’s the latest news involving Richarlison?
The 25-year-old scored 10 league goals to help Everton avoid relegation last term, and he is now attracting interest from some of the top clubs in England.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham and Arsenal both want to sign Richarlison, and they have been joined in the race for his signature by their London rivals Chelsea.
It is understood that Everton are seeking at least £50m for their prized asset before considering letting him go.

What has Jones said about Richarlison potentially joining Tottenham?
Jones has hinted that Richarlison could be a fine addition to Tottenham’s squad, as he could provide back-up to Harry Kane, while also being able to slot in on either wing for Antonio Conte’s men.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Jones said: “I think one of the things with Richarlison, though, is that it would solve two problems for them. I think if Richarlison comes in, they don’t need that striker. I think that Richarlison can play any of the forward positions that they actually see that need filling, and that’s something that probably edges him up the list.”
Does Richarlison’s versatility make him the ideal signing for Tottenham?
When news first emerged of Tottenham’s interest in Richarlison, some may have wondered how he would fit into Conte’s plans.
Heung-min Son and Harry Kane scored 40 league goals between them last season, while Dejan Kulusevski arrived in January and delivered 13 goal contributions in the second half of the campaign. These numbers highlight how difficult it would be for Richarlison to get into Spurs’ front three.
Still, Tottenham will be back in the Champions League next term, and with the games coming thick and fast due to the World Cup taking place mid-season, Conte will need strength in depth in his forward line.
Would Richarlison start every week for Tottenham? That seems unlikely, but he would be capable of replacing Son, Kane or Kulusevski and ensuring that the quality of the team does not dip dramatically.
This is exactly what Spurs need if they are going to push higher up the league and potentially challenge for silverware in 2022/23.
