As FIFA 22 progresses, FIFA 23 looms around the corner - which means very soon ratings will be revealed for all sides. With this - here are our predicted Chelsea ratings for FIFA 23.

Chelsea had a decent 2021-22 season. They came in on a massive high after defeating Manchester City in the Champions League Final and started off the season excellently, looking like potential title-winning candidates. They obtained the UEFA Super Cup, making them champions of the world, which gave them a massive confidence boost going into the second half of the season.

However, they seemed to lose traction. A few dropped points here and there meant they fell far from the two front runners and it looked destined for the majority of the season that they were going to finish third - which actually came true.

They did have a decent run in the cups, they fell at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League to eventual winners Real Madrid and also finished runners-up in the FA Cup, losing to Liverpool on penalties in agonizing fashion.

Ultimately, they had a half-decent season, so let's take a look at our predicted ratings for Chelsea in FIFA 23.

Goalkeepers and Defenders

Reece James of Chelsea celebrates

  • Edouard Mendy - 85 (+2)
  • Kepa Arrizabalaga - 80 (+1)
  • Marcos Alonso - 79 (+0)
  • Thiago Silva - 85 (+0)
  • Trevoh Chalobah - 75 (+2)
  • Ben Chilwell - 82 (+0)
  • Reece James - 85 (+4)
  • Cesar Azpilicueta - 82 (-1)
  • Malang Sarr - 77 (+3)

First off we have the defenders and goalkeepers.

Edouard Mendy's FIFA 22 rating was precariously low for his standard of goalkeeping, we've bumped the AFCON winner up to an 85 for next year's instalment.

A high climber is also the sensational Reece James. He's undisputedly one of Chelsea's best players and has a serious chance of competing for England's World Cup squad. He's now rated 85 in our opinion.

Not too much movement elsewhere, the vintage centre-half Thiago Silva keeps his rating. Class never fades.

Midfielders

Mason Mount of Chelsea celebrates

  • Jorginho - 84 (-1)
  • N'Golo Kante - 89 (-1)
  • Mateo Kovacic - 84 (+1)
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek - 78 (+3)
  • Conor Gallagher - 79 (+5)
  • Mason Mount - 85 (+2)
  • Ross Barkley - 75 (-3)

We feel awful downgrading N'Golo Kante, but let's be honest - his performances this season don't warrant a 90-rated card.

We've also downgraded Jorginho, who despite having a 97-rated card on FIFA 22 as a Team of the Year item, just hasn't been too great this campaign.

Someone who does move up though is Mason Mount. He is one of Chelsea's massively bright sparks and is now integral to Thomas Tuchel's side.

Kai Havertz of Chelsea celebrates

  • Hakim Ziyech - 83 (-1)
  • Christian Pulisic - 82 (+0)
  • Kai Havertz - 84 (+0)
  • Timo Werner - 83 (-1)
  • Callum Hudson-Odoi - 77 (+0)

Yikes. Not a single upgrade in Chelsea's attacking department.

Hakim Ziyech drops down to an 83, as does Timo Werner. We also have three non-movers in Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi. Do you agree with this?
