Sadio Mane completed his £35m move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich on Wednesday afternoon.

The Senegalese international has signed for the German club on a three-year deal.

He said after the move was confirmed, per Sky Sports: "I'm very happy to finally be with FC Bayern in Munich. We had a lot of talks and I felt the great interest of this big club from the start.

"So there was no doubt in my mind right from the start: This is the right time for this challenge. I want to achieve a lot with this club, also internationally.

"During my time in Salzburg I followed many FC Bayern games - I like this club very much!"

There was a truly awkward yet hilarious moment on Sky Sports this afternoon as they thought that they were about to get a word with Mane in Munich.

A car pulls up and the Sky reporter,Florian Plettenberg, thinks that he's about to speak to Mane.

"He's in the car, Sadio Mane! We'll say hi. We'll go to him and ask if he wants to say something to Sky UK. I couldn't see him yesterday because he was in the car the whole time," the reporter says.

A man gets out the car and the camera zooms in on him. But it's not Mane.

"There he is!" The Sky Sports presenter says with excitement. She then realises it's not Mane and adds: "Oh no! Hang on a minute..."

It was a comical moment and you can view it below...

Mane departs Liverpool having scored 120 goals in 269 games for the club. He revealed that he felt the time had come to leave for pastures news.

He said, per ESPN: "I can say of course we won a lot and I spent a great, great time there. An unbelievable time at Liverpool, we won a lot.

"Like I always say, my life is always [about a] challenge and when it came I said to the club that I want to leave, I want to go somewhere else to see a new challenge.

"It is not anything else, it is just a challenge because for me I want to always be challenging myself to get better and better."
