2016 Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg has been back behind the wheel of late with him driving the Rosberg X Racing Extreme E car in Germany.

Rosberg surprised many when he opted to leave F1 at the end of his title-winning year and in the time since we've not really seen much of him in terms of racing, with him deciding to turn his hand to things like podcasting, punditry and live-streaming.

He's quite good at all of that, too, and it appears he's content with the decision he made to leave the sport when he did, though he could have obviously continued for many years after.

He's still involved with motorsport, though, and has his own team in Extreme E which returns again later this year, for another season of the all-electric motorsport series.

Indeed, he's been taking one of his charges for a spin, driving around the Nurburgring's Offroad Park and looking as though he was enjoying it too:

Extreme E has a number of big names involved with Lewis Hamilton also having a team, whilst Jenson Button, Sebastian Loeb and Carlos Sainz Sr. have all competed.

It returns again for another year and Rosberg will hope his RXR team can hit similar levels of success as they did in 2021.
