Erik ten Hag could look to make widespread changes to the Red Devils’ squad after being appointed as their new boss, but it appears Rashford is not among those he is actively looking to move on.
What’s the latest news involving Rashford?
Rashford’s £200,000-per-week deal is set to expire next summer, although Manchester United have the option of extending the agreement by a further 12 months.
Despite struggling for game-time under Ralf Rangnick, who was in interim charge before ten Hag’s arrival in the red half of Manchester, it is understood that he is in a more favourable position than fellow attacker Anthony Martial when it comes to having a future at Old Trafford.
Ahead of having to report back to Carrington for pre-season, Rashford has been putting himself through his paces by undergoing a personal training regime while on holiday in the United States as he bids to impress ten Hag.
The 24-year-old has been convinced that he wants to remain with his boyhood club after discussing the Dutchman’s methods with Donny van de Beek and Daley Blind.
It comes just a matter of months after Rashford revealed he was considering his future having grown frustrated at a lack of opportunities.

What has Fabrizio Romano said about Rashford?
Romano believes Manchester United will want to head to the negotiating table and hand Rashford an extended deal if he is not sold during the remainder of the summer window.
The transfer guru feels fresh terms could be on the table in the not-too-distant future as the Red Devils look to protect one of their assets.
Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “For sure, they will have to resolve the situation from the contract point of view because if Rashford is staying at Manchester United this summer, they will need to open conversations to extend his contract in the next months.
“He’s out of contract in 2023, with an option for a further season, but this is something that Manchester United want to discuss.”
Why do Man United want to extend Rashford’s contract?
Although Rashford did not enjoy the best of seasons during 2021/22, scoring five goals in 32 outings, he has previously shown that he is a special talent.
Over the course of 303 appearances since bursting onto the scene as a teenager, he has found the back of the net 93 times and also contributed 57 assists.
That is no mean feat and Romano has previously told GIVEMESPORT that Rashford is likely to be given an opportunity to impress by ten Hag, so handing the 46-cap England international would be a logical step.
