But what do we know? We understand that the game’s new Escape from Tarkov game type will be available as a free-to-play experience by 2023, according to a reliable leaker.
This campaign mode is reportedly codenamed Project Nexus and it has been in development for four or five years and will incorporate elements of campaign gameplay with PVPVE action, including an RPG element as well.
However, you should keep in mind that Modern Warfare 2 will include three modes when it launches in 2022, a single-player campaign, multiplayer, and cooperative modes.
Now, the leak which surfaced predicts when the mode could be announced and when it might be released to the public, so scroll down for more information.
Tarkov-Inspired Mode To Release 2023 Free-To-Play
New reports say that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will release a free-to-play mode similar to Escape From Tarkov in 2023.
As Ralph claims, the mode is open-world and players will fight other players and NPCs for valuable loot on some maps, as DMZ is said to be heavily influenced by Escape From Tarkov.
Further, these maps will be included in Warzone 2.0, as well as the same characters from the Campaign.
Infinity Ward has also been working on content for Modern Warfare 2 for two years, so they have to pump out the game’s content now.
Meanwhile, nothing has been confirmed about DMZ as of yet, but there will supposedly be a reveal in August, at which point we should have a better idea of their goals and intentions for the brand new mode.
While Warzone 2 is expected to be released in December, so keep your eyes tuned to this page as we will bring you the latest updates from the game.
