Deontay Wilder has made himself a household name in recent years.

What catches the eye is his truly incredible punching power, having knocked out or stunned every opponent he has defeated.

From 45 fights, he’s won 42 with all but one being knockouts, in fact, he has a knockout-to-win percentage of 97.61%.

Even when the Bronze Bomber isn’t coming out victorious, he’s leaving a serious mark on his opponents as he even floored Tyson Fury in two of their three fights.

The trilogy of bouts with the Brit, which spanned just under three years, are the only blemishes on Wilder’s record, with the first being an infamous draw followed by two wins for the Gypsy King.

Before meeting Fury, Wilder had won 40 fights in a row.

The list of boxers who fell to the astonishing power of the Bronze Bomber over the years is extensive, including the likes of Luis Ortiz, Dominic Breazeale, Bermane Stiverne and Eric Molina, though, one boxer who really sticks out is Dustin Nichols.

What is crazy is that a lot of boxing fans have probably never even heard of Nichols or have never seen his name in the news or actually seen his fight against the American.

This clash happened in Wilder's 11th professional fight and what sticks out is his opponent’s astounding size.

Recently, rare footage of this fight has been found. @FightFans on Twitter has shared a video featuring a two-minute snippet of the bout between Wilder and his much larger foe.

It’s suggested in the tweet that Nichols weighs 398lbs as Wilder circles around his opponent giving it his best shot.

Unsurprisingly, around 40 seconds into the clip, Wilder is knocked into the ropes due to the overbearing size and power of the colossus he was fighting.

He’s able to stand back up, continue and eventually go on to win the fight, but in the clip it looks very cagey.

Wilder had to duck and dive to endure such a unique opponent.

As of now, Wilder doesn’t have an opponent for his next fight. It’s unclear when fans will see the American back in the ring, but he has recently confirmed that he's not finished just yet.

Wilder will no doubt be looking to gain some momentum following the conclusion of the legendary trilogy with Fury, which ended on October 9, 2021.
