Diablo Immortal players appear to believe that there is an increased amount of bots coming into the game, as per Gamesradar.
The game has sparked an immense backlash since its release, with fans insisting that the microtransactions that have been included within Blizzard’s latest release dragging the game down.
The game has a Metacritic user score of just 0.4 out of 10 from 5,650 ratings in total, which is the lowest-ever score a Blizzard release has received.
And it now appears that bots are invading the game.
The report states that there have been a number of clips of bots appearing in popular looting locations on Reddit, with popular areas where players can grind loot or bounties being packed with bots.
Players are also claiming that the chat within the game is being spammed, with bots continually posting adverts for less than savoury sites.
This isn’t particularly uncommon for games that take place solely online but it can be off-putting for players, especially when the bots are also directly affecting the gameplay.
Of course, the bots can easily be explained; players do not consistently want to farm, so bots are sent in to do it for them, as they are away from their keyboard.
But Blizzard has yet to make any kind of comment on the bots, and have yet to promise to fix it, although one has to think that they will surely be aware of it.
As per the report, Diablo 2: Resurrected also had a huge amount of bots invading it, so it seems like a consistent issue for the developers. They have had to issue ban waves to keep the bots away.
We’ll let you know as and when there’s an update on this.
