Jake Paul has admitted that Tommy Fury will serve as the biggest test of his boxing career after their summer showdown was officially announced.

After weeks of speculation and waiting, it’s finally been confirmed that Jake Paul and Tommy Fury will square off in the middle of the ring on August 6 in New York City. The showpiece event will take place at Madison Square Garden on a card that’ll also feature Amanda Serrano, who has seen her star power go through the roof since aligning herself with Paul.

The last couple of days have allowed Paul and Fury to ramp up the intensity as ‘The Problem Child’ accused Tommy of trying to back out of the fight once again. In the end, though, the final hurdle was cleared, and all eyes will now turn toward NYC later this summer.

As part of the promotion for the bout confirmation being revealed to the world, Paul released a 22-minute video on his YouTube channel in which he made it known that this is his toughest challenge to date.

“All jokes aside, this is my toughest test yet. You guys wanted me to fight a real boxer. You guys have been tormenting me day in and day out - fight a real boxer, fight a real boxer. The answer is: no f***ing problem.”

“As far as real boxers, this is as real as it gets. Tommy Fury comes from a bloodline of legendary fighters, the Gypsies, who have been mauling people since they were f***ing born three thousand million years ago.”

“His brother is the heavyweight champion of the world, never lost a fight. His dad went to jail for ripping someone’s eye out. Tommy Fury has been boxing since he was 12 years old.”

The proof

Jake Paul’s wins over AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley were all impressive in their own right, but it didn’t really give Jake the chance to fully showcase what he can do at a strong level in boxing.

It’s true that fighting a real boxer is, by default, going to test him, regardless of how accomplished Askren and Woodley were in MMA.

Get ready, because this is a real make-or-break moment for the YouTuber.
