A new update for Gran Turismo 7 has arrived, which brings with it some exciting new additions.
Developers of GT7 announced that the update will go into effect on the 23rd of June 2022. While the latest content update does not break the mould, it’s bound to be of interest to GT7 car collectors.
The previous update tackled several issues regarding custom races using specific vehicles as well as timing problems at Deep Forest, and sometimes mismatched thumbnail images of vehicles.
Now, the legendary Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Special from 1998 is undoubtedly the highlight of GT7’s June update.

Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.17
Gran Turismo’s update 1.17 is somewhat similar to the update 1.13 from April, however, with three new vehicles and a newly added racetrack, the update underscores the franchise’s commitment to racing culture. These include the Escudo aforementioned, Suzuki’s new GT model of the Vision car, and the 1932 Ford Roadster.
While the Vision and Roadster are certainly cool cars, long-time GT players are likely to be most interested in Escudo, as it was usually the ultimate crutch car in the old Gran Turismo games.

- Suzuki V6 ESCUDO Pikes Peak Special ’98 (Purchasable at ‘Legend Cars’ from 24 June)
- Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.3 Version)
Circuit Experience’ has been added to the ‘Watkins Glen International’ track in the ‘Americas’ section.
The following new events have been added to World Circuits.
- Watkins Glen International
- American FR Challenge 550
- American Clubman Cup 700
- World Touring Car 800
- The ‘Watkins Glen International’ location has been added as a featured Curation in Scapes;
- A new spot has been added to the Scapes demo roll.
Gran Turismo Café – extra menus
Added 41 sets of new conversations with the Characters appearing in the Café. These new conversations can be accessed by changing cars in ‘Garage’ and speaking with the Character that is in the Café.
New ‘Extra Menus’ have been introduced: these menus provide opportunities to complete new car collections and are accessible after a certain Collector Level has been reached. In Update 1.17, the following three Extra Menus have been added:
・Extra Menu No. 1: ‘Collection: Toyota 86’
・Extra Menu No. 2: ‘Collection: Honda Type R’
・Extra Menu No. 3: ‘Collection: Rotary Engine
- The following four new paint colours have been added:
- Ford Roadster BlackSuzuki Escudo Pikespeak Red
- Suzuki VGT Gr3 Blue
- Suzuki VGT Gr3 Black
