In a fresh update her on WWE return, Bayley has once again been dropping hints on her injury status across her social media accounts. SmackDown’s longest reigning women’s champion has been out of action since tearing her ACL while training for her Money in the Bank I Quit match with Bianca Belair in July last year. She was expected to be out of action for around nine months, but with that timescale elapsed in April, we’re still yet to see Bayley return. The 33-year-old has constantly teased fans across her social media accounts this year, each one alluding to her a comeback for the Role Model. The last hint came as recently as earlier this month, when Bayley posted an image of what looked like her wrestling boots, tied up and ready to go.

However, it seems that post may have been somewhat misleading if we are to read into her latest social media updates, which seem to indicate she’s still recovering from the injury.

Replying to a birthday wish and cheeky challenge from NXT 2.0 Superstar Cora Jade on June 23rd, Bayley thanked her young pier, but asked her to respect her as she’s still dealing with the knee injury.

Thanks, suga mama. PS – Please respect me, I am injured with a B.A.K.

That statement was further backed-up by another reply, this time to another NXT star Indie Hartwell, who again took to Twitter to wish Bayley a Happy Birthday, and once again the grand-slam champion replied referencing her injury.

Thanks, my injury won’t sloan me down.

As she was away from WWE at time, Bayley wasn’t included in the WWE Draft last October and is currently a ‘free agent’. Fans have speculated that she may have been a surprise addition to the Money in the Bank match, but it would seem given this latest update, they still may have to wait a little longer to see her return.
