Arsenal technical director Edu has made strengthening boss Mikel Arteta's forward options a priority as he looks to bolster the squad at the Emirates Stadium, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Gunners may have finished fifth in the Premier League last season, resulting in them missing out on Champions League qualification, but Edu and Arteta have not allowed that to stop them in their tracks during the transfer window.

Which attackers have Arsenal been linked with?

Arsenal look to have reached an agreement to sign Gabriel Jesus despite a £50million asking price being slapped on the Manchester City striker.

Edu has put the building blocks in place by holding discussions with the 25-year-old's representatives for a number of months.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano had also revealed Arsenal were continuing to work on a deal and negotiations were at a very advanced stage.

But Jesus might not be the only arrival with the Gunners tracking another Brazilian in Raphinha, although their opening bid was rejected by Leeds United.

The Whites are reportedly seeking more than £50million for the attacking winger, who has scored 17 goals and provided a further 12 assists since heading to English football.

What has Dharmesh Sheth said about the situation?

Sheth believes Edu and Arteta are desperate to add some firepower to the Arsenal squad after being left with just Eddie Nketiah as a senior striker option heading into the upcoming campaign.

The Sky Sports reporter feels the Gunners have a lengthy list of targets which has gradually been narrowed down as pre-season nears.

Sheth told GIVEMESPORT: "Some of those targets might have changed but, as with all clubs, they will have had a long list of players that they want to bring in.

"The forward line is, in particular, one that they want to improve upon. Of course, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the club in January and Alexandre Lacazette has now left the club following the expiration of his contract."

Who have Arsenal signed so far?

Matt Turner has officially moved to north London after an agreement was initially reached with Major League Soccer franchise New England Revolution in February, but the proposal involved the goalkeeper remaining in his homeland until now.

Meanwhile, teenage forward Marquinhos has joined Arsenal from Brazilian side Sao Paulo, with him penning a long-term contract.

The switch came after Edu admitted to watching the 19-year-old for a prolonged period of time.

Fabio Vieira became the Gunners’ latest arrival after a £34.2million deal was agreed with Porto earlier this week.
