Here’s one Liv Morgan didn’t see coming, an RKO out of nowhere – but NOT from Randy Orton

Morgan was enjoying a break from in-ring activities and joined fellow WWE Superstars Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville aboard a yacht. It was upon the deck of the impressive sea vehicle that she fell victim to one of WWE’s famous moves – from Sonya Deville.

Sonya snuck up on the Money in the Bank competitor and executed a perfect RKO on Morgan, face-planting her into the cushions at the far end of the boat. Liv, to her credit, sold the move seamlessly, too, like she had taken it in a WWE ring rather than aboard a fancy yacht.

The RKO move, used by Randy Orton as his signature finisher, has become one of wrestling’s most famous finishing moves. It’s ‘outta nowhere’ tagline, as proven by Deville, has seen it create a legacy both in and out of WWE.

The holiday seemed to give Morgan plenty of time to brush-up on her mat skills, because she was also seen perfecting her moonsaults during the trip. In another video, the 28-year-old can be seen pulling off the high-flying manoeuvre on the side of the boat, before splashing into the ocean.

It is not a move that is familiar to the arsenal we’ve seen from Morgan inside a WWE ring, but perhaps it’s one she’s perfecting so she can bust it out in the future – maybe even at next month’s Money in the Bank match.

Liv will compete in her second Money in the Bank match on July 2nd, alongside Alexa Bliss, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka, and Lacey Evans. With the addition of either Aliyah or Shotzi to come, plus two final competitors. She previously competed in the annual match in 2021, a bout which was won by Nikki A.S.H.
