A tier list has emerged on Reddit, and it has brought much debate and discussion upon the reasoning for each selected wrestler's position in the hierarchy of WWE.

It was actually posted to the platform three months ago, but after a certain legend celebrated his 20th anniversary with the company last night, now felt like the right time to take a look at the ranking.

We must stress before we dive right in, though, that it's not our ranking and it's a fan ranking, so if you disagree, blame them, not us.

Within the system, there are different categories that wrestlers have been placed into depending on their status in WWE.

The list goes as follows from top to bottom: 'Icons', 'Draws', 'Legends', 'Elite', 'Solid', 'Untapped potential', 'Did the job' and then lastly, and probably harshly, 'Accomplished but very overrated'.

At the top of the pack, we have the likes of John Cena and The Undertaker.

Cena has been ranked as an icon for the sport with many considering him the figurehead of the company. As of yesterday, the American celebrated his 20th anniversary with WWE, which has provided him with a stellar career.

Beside him is one of WWE's most notorious wrestlers The Undertaker, who would always stare down his opponents whilst his menacing church-like music would play, giving the crowd many chills.

In the Draws category, the infamous Randy Orton sits with his iconic RKO finisher that brought a new level of excitement for fans in the years he has been wrestling.

A whole host of other names also join him, including the likes of Roman Reigns, Edge, Brock Lesnar and Triple H.

CM Punk and Rey Mysterio are among many others in the Legends category. The latter is well known for using acrobatic takedowns as he would always topple onto his opponents from the ropes to finish off his prey.

Next up in the Elite category, Jake the Snake would slither himself to the ring and bring his menacing snake that struck fear in his opponents. Unfortunately, Randy "Macho Man" Savage was bitten by Jake's sinister-looking cobra once inside the ring back in 1991.

Further down the list of categories lies Solid. The huge Yokozuna was different to many due to his size and wrestling skills, including his use of sumo wrestling. Did you know his name Yokozuna is a reference to the highest rank in professional sumo wrestling?

Representing his country, Vladimir Kozlov from Russia has been ranked in the Untapped potential category alongside Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Sting.

In the Did the job category, Goldust was one of wrestling's most bizarre characters. Dustin Runnels was the man behind the black and gold face paint. He also accommodates having a long blonde wig and a glittery gold cape. He had a lengthy career spanning from 1995 to 2019.

Last but not least, we have five wrestlers; Goldberg, Scott Steiner, Shane McMahon, Lex Luger and The Ultimate Warrior, who have been deemed to be very overrated wrestlers, despite being accomplished.
