It appears the injury curse continues on the road to Forbidden Door as another change to the match card had to be made with only two nights to go until the big event.

The originally scheduled 4-way match for the inaugural All-Atlantic Championship at Forbidden Door was to be Malakai Black, Miro, Pac and New Japan Pro Wrestling's Tomohiro Ishii.

However, the change sees NJPW's Tomohiro Ishii unable to compete on Sunday due to him not being medically cleared after suffering an injury in his qualifying match against Clark Connors.

Therefore, Connors has been added to the match as Ishii's replacement. Connors is one of the top prospects to come out of the New Japan LA Dojo and has been in great form recently, winning over the fans in Japan after taking Ishii to the limit.

Also, in 2022 Best Of The Super Juniors tournament Connors put on an impressive show, winning 4 of the 9 matches as well as colliding with veterans across numerous independent promotions. Most notable is his match against Christopher Daniels for the DEFY World Title at DEFY 50.

However, the young New Japan star has his toughest challenge yet, representing Japan against three of AEW's best.

Pac and Malakai Black will be looking for their first taste of gold in AEW after they qualified with wins against Buddy Matthews and Penta Oscuro. Whereas Miro looks to fulfil his quest of redeeming and capturing gold once again in AEW after an impressive TNT Championship reign.
