Deontay Wilder could make a stunning return to boxing.

The Bronze Bomber, 36, is currently on a two-fight skid following back-to-back defeats to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, prompting speculation about his future in the sport.

However, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman recently claimed he could return to the ring before the end of the year.

And Wilder has confirmed he is seriously considering a comeback as he insists the sport is not the same without him in it and would love another chance at becoming a world champion again.

Wilder told Premier Boxing Champions' YouTube channel: "There's one thing about it when you have a strong, powerful, outspoken and exciting heavyweight as myself. Boxing is beautiful. When you have an exciting American heavyweight boxing thrives.

"I'm living proof. This is what people are witnessing right now. When you don't have a heavyweight like that there no more and stuff like that, things start to die down.

"I've even had guys that's in the heavyweight division reach out and say 'champ the division is not the same without you'.

"'We need our champ back. Boxing is dead. It's boring without you'.

Deontay Wilder is 'considering' a return to boxing

"But you know I'm definitely considering coming back.

"This is something that we're trying to figure out and get things situated. I just felt like a re-boost for my career and coming back for the people.

"I mean when they gave me my statue and to see so many people come out and express themselves on what it meant to them.

"I see so many different messages thanking me for being who I am, not being fake, being real and true to myself and to others, thanking me for being relatable.

"You know how I made it out of struggle can still motivate them and inspire them to be great.

"Like I said greatness is only determined by service so provide your service in this world and you shall receive results of greatness.

"The hard thing about it is the patience. No one wants to wait. We've all got it figured out and we want it right now.

"But you know what they say though good things come to those who wait.

"It's just a happy moment in time for me right now. I'm just so blessed and I'm just so happy and I'm at peace.

"It's not about the financial things, after the things I put myself in I never have to return to boxing ever again in my life. I've set my life up. As I was running my career I dictated how I wanted things to go.

"I did smart moves, I did smart investments, I didn't rush things.

"I didn't let people run my career like they wanted I ran it like I wanted and I had a great team that was with me on it.

"I'm blessed, bro. I don't ever have to return again."

Although Wilder has been on a run of poor form as of late, he still remains a very real threat to the rest of the heavyweight division and is seen as one of the most devastating knockout artists in boxing history.

So the fact Wilder admits he is seriously considering coming back is extremely exciting.
