Gareth Bale finally has a heading as his roller-coaster ride of a Real Madrid career comes to an end.

The Welsh maestro, after links to Cardiff City, will be heading to the United States where he will join up with Los Angeles FC to play in the MLS.

While the States-side club are yet to confirm the deal, Bale not-so-subtly tweeted a clip of himself in all the LAFC garb with the message: "See you soon, Los Angeles".

It calls to a close a bizarre era in the game for Bale who won countless trophies during his time in Madrid, but never truly won over the notoriously hard to please fans.

He scored 106 goals in 258 appearances while also notching up 67 assists. He won three La Liga titles while also securing an incredible five Champions League winners' medals.

It is truly the stuff of legend and, whether fans agree or not, Bale simply has to go down as one of Madrid's all time greats.

Alongside Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, he was able to form one of the most terrifying trios in modern history, tearing defences to bits across Spain and the continent.

In full flight, Bale was simply glorious to watch and, in truth, we could point to any number of the once-in-a-lifetime moments that underpinned his career in the famous white shirt.

His Copa del Rey final goal against Barcelona immediately springs to mind or, speaking of springing, who could forget his overhead kick against Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final?

The fact of the matter is that the now 32-year-old is a truly special player and we have yet more footage to prove it.

The below clip, which has begun doing the rounds on social media this weekend, shows Bale nonchalantly pulling off a quite sublime assist with the outside of his wand of a left boot.

We could sing its praises all day long, but perhaps it would just be easiest for you to give it a watch:

Brilliant - the unique angle perfectly highlights Bale's mastery over the football.

He bends it a mile before landing on a dime for his teammate who doesn't have to break stride as he rushes forward.

Said teammate then slots home to take the plaudits having had it perfectly laid on a plate by the Welshman.

While it might not always have been perfect, Bale's time at Madrid should be remembered for what it was - truly special.
