UFC Featherweight contender and all-time great Max Holloway recently discussed the potential retirement of Conor McGregor ahead of UFC 276.
Although McGregor has been discussing a potential return to the octagon over the past year or so, Holloway seems to think that ‘Notorious’ may well be hanging up the gloves.
Following two straight losses to Dustin Poirier, many believe that we won’t see the Irish megastar return to the cage, but it does seem as though a potential bout against the likes of Michael Chandler, Kamaru Usman or Tony Ferguson could still be on the cards.
Here is what Max Holloway had to say regarding UFC Featherweight great Conor McGregor and his potential retirement from the sport.

Alexander Volkanovski is gunning for a finish against Max Holloway
Speaking to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto (via BJ Penn.com), the former UFC Featherweight Champion discussed the chances of ‘Notorious’ bowing out of the sport completely.
He said: “With all this Conor talk and saying whatever, he never committed to coming back,” Holloway told ESPN. “He never once said he’d come back. And rightfully so, he shouldn’t.
“Conor is what everyone wants to be. Everyone wants to get in this fight game, make the money, and then save your chickens.
“I wouldn’t even blame him if he didn’t want to come back. If you want to come back, that’s his competitive side straight doing it. … We’ll see what happens. All respect to him.”
McGregor is one of the greatest Featherweight fighters in the history of the company, but we aren’t expecting him to be making a return at the 145-pound weight class.
