Women's Euro 2022 odds: Who are the favourites?

The Women's Euro 2022 isn't too far away now, but who are the favourites to win the competition?

This year’s Women’s Euros will start on Wednesday 6th July 2022, with the competition held all over England in a variety of stadiums. England's Lionesses‘ will be making their ninth Finals appearance and will be looking to go one further than they did back in 2017 when they lost to eventual winners, the Netherlands, in the semi-final.

This competition is set to be one of the biggest ever in Women's football, with many great names and teams on show. But who is the favourite to win the entire competition?

Who is the favourite for the Women's Euro 2022?

Here we'll be showing the top five favourites for the Women's Euro's 2022 according to the bookie's odds. Check them out below.

6 - Netherlands (17/2)

The current holders have now moved down to 6th favourites.

They beat Denmark in the final way back in 2017 and are still regarded as one of the top women's sides in world football.

They also boast some remarkable players, such as Women's Super League prolific striker Vivianne Miedema and the likes of Daniella van de Donk in midfield.

5 - Sweden (6/1)

Sweden are a new entry in the rankings. They drew their first game against the Netherlands who were highly suggested to be one of the potential winners. They have recently won their second which only brings their odds up.

4 - Spain (9/2)

UPDATE 14th July 2022: Spain have now moved down to fourth favourites.

Despite never winning the trophy before, Spain find themselves as one of the favourites which is no surprise with the calibre of stars they have in their ranks.

Watch out for Barcelona gems Alexia Putellas, Jennifer Hermoso and Aitana Bonmati.

3 - Germany (7/2)

UPDATE 14th July 2022: Germany move up to third favourites!

Much like the male national side, you can never ever rule Germany out for a major tournament win.

This young German side is full of vibrance and fantastic players, however, they have been plagued with injuries coming into this competition, so it may explain why they're lower down than usual.

Nevertheless, they still have some really bright sparks who are sure to light up the tournament. Watch out for Bayern Munich's Lea Schüller and Wolfsburg's Lena Oberdorf who have both endured terrific seasons for their clubs.

2 - England (3/1)

UPDATE 14th July 2022: England are now joint-favourites after an insane start!

It's surprising to not see England as the favourites. They have undeniable talent in the squad in the form of Ellen White, Lucy Bronze and Beth Mead just to name a few, combined with the fact they have home advantage, don't be surprised if football finally comes home for the women's side.

France after a great start are now the favourites!

The women's French national team are often regarded as major underperformers, never seeming to hit the mark in major tournaments, but with a plethora of talent including one of the world's best strikers - Marie-Antoinette Katoto, they also surely can't be discounted.
