Everton are likely to sign Harry Winks regardless of where Richarlison's future lies, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Brazilian international is being strongly linked with a move to Tottenham, with a potential swap deal involving Winks under consideration, but Jones is confident the midfielder will end up linking up with ex-teammate Dele Alli, no matter what happens with Richarlison.

What's the latest news involving Winks?

Having made less than 20 Premier League starts across two seasons, the 26-year-old is surplus to requirements and is widely expected to leave this summer.

According to Sky Sports' Michael Bridge, Spurs and Everton are in talks over Winks, although the north Londoners are pushing for a permanent transfer, while the Toffees are seeking a loan deal with an option to buy.

Winks has already been told to find a new club by Tottenham and has been valued at around £20m.

Meanwhile, the same outlet state that Spurs are interested in Richarlison and Anthony Gordon, as Conte hopes to provide squad depth ahead of the club's return to the Champions League next term.

But Jones doesn't think that deals for those two will work hand in hand with Winks and expects him to become an Everton player this summer regardless.

What did Jones say about Winks?

He told GIVEMESPORT: "Obviously Harry Winks is the only player who isn't really affected by this.

"They really want to sign him, they could get him on loan, which could be handy, rather than having to buy him, but ultimately, that deal will probably happen anyway."

What other business could Tottenham and Everton do?

Following Alli's January switch to Goodison Park, there appears to be a flurry of potential deals involving Tottenham and Everton in the pipeline.

Not only are Everton keen on signing Winks and Spurs on Richarlison and Gordon, but the Telegraph also believe that Netherlands international Steven Bergwijn could become an option for Frank Lampard's side.

The report states that Tottenham would be willing to offer Bergwijn, who's looked on course to join Ajax for several weeks, and £20m as part of a deal that would see Richarlison move in the opposite direction.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the likes of Winks, Bergwijn and Richarlison, but if Everton do lose the Brazilian, then signing someone in the calibre of the Netherlands international would be a decent player-exchange for Lampard's side.
