Alex Albon says he is looking forward to racing at Silverstone this weekend as the British Grand Prix looms on the horizon.

The Thai/British driver has had a good season so far for Williams and will be looking to add some more points to his haul if possible, with the team bringing a new aero package to his car for the weekend in a bid to garner more performance.

Certainly, British fans will be hoping that that has its desired effect given how popular the team is with the local support, and Albon says he sees it as a 'half home' race given his dual nationality.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, he said:

"Silverstone is a home race for the team and half for me too!

"It's a special circuit made better by all the fans who come out to show their support. Silverstone is also where I first got my karting licence at 8 years old, so it's really where it all began for me. It has to be one of the most enjoyable circuits for a driver and I think it'll be pretty fun in these cars."

Albon included, a fifth of the grid will be being cheered on by home fans, with Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Lando Norris all representing the British flag this weekend at Silverstone.

It'll be hoped all four can earn points, then, but only time will tell if we're lucky enough to get that sort of result.
