Harvestella: Everything We Know So Far

Square Enix introduced Harvestella, a new farming-focused JRPG, during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase.

Square Enix is promoting Harvestella as a fantasy x life simulation game. It appears to combine JRPG action combat with the straightforward joys of games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon.

Here is the official announcement trailer:

Harvestella, which takes place in a fantasy setting, lets you farm and craft goods as you establish your own life in a small village and move through the seasons. Players can cultivate the land, scatter seeds, and watch crops grow as a result of their efforts. Players can go on adventures, killing monsters to collect rare items for cooking and crafts, as well as getting to know the locals and helping them out.

Seaslight, a mystery crystal, controls the seasons, which alter every 30 game days. The crystals bestowed blessings on the world around them, providing various advantages according to the season.

The world of Harvestella, however, has a fifth season called Quietus, the season of death, in addition to the traditional spring, summer, fall, and winter seasons. The threat to all life on the planet is posed by Quietus, which occurs during the transitional periods between the regular seasons and causes crops to wither. In order to save their town and possibly the lives of its residents, the player must set out to stop Quietus’ effects.

Harvestella will be available on PC and the Nintendo Switch.
