The massive space exploration game No Man’s Sky will soon be available on the Nintendo Switch.
The game was first released in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and PC, and later versions for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 were released.
Now, after all this time, the Switch Edition is set to include everything that has been added to the game over its six-year lifespan.
However, it remains to be seen how No Man’s Sky will perform on the Nintendo Switch and whether the new port will be worthwhile.

No Man’s Sky Nintendo Switch release date
Following much anticipation in the gaming community, the developer’s Hello Games announced that its procedurally generated spacefaring adventure No Man’s Sky will be available on Nintendo Switch on 7th October 2022.
The Switch version will include No Man’s Sky’s expansive universe as well as over six years of updates. The developers previously released six major updates to No Man’s Sky over the past year, Frontiers, Prisms, Expeditions, Companions, Outlaws, and Leviathan which added new gameplay mechanics and improved the game’s visuals.
Aside from the Switch version, Hello Games is also releasing a physical version of No Man’s Sky for the PlayStation 5 with a remastered disc containing all 20 updates, the developer indicated.
That’s not all, when Sony’s PlayStation VR2 headset becomes available, Hello Games plans to launch an update for the PlayStation 5 version of No Man’s Sky to support it.
Meanwhile, some players may be concerned about how well No Man’s Sky will perform on the Switch’s ageing hardware, however, Hello Games attempted to assuage fears with a video showing the game running reasonably well on the console, though it remains to be seen how Switch performance will be.
