Joshua Zirkzee is one of the most exciting young strikers in world football right now.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a stellar 2021/22 campaign on loan at Belgian outfit Anderlecht.
Zirkzee played 44 games in total across all competitions, finishing with 18 goals and 13 assists to his name.
The Dutchman has the potential to be a bona fide world beater and could be the main man up top for parent club Bayern Munich in the very near future.
Zirkzee was electric in the German champions’ youth setup. In 21 appearances for the Under-19 side, he scored a whopping 16 goals.
The starlet has played 17 times for Bayern’s senior side at the time of writing and last represented them in their 2021 pre-season campaign.
And in a match against Ajax during that campaign, Zirkzee was unfortunately guilty of one of the worst misses seen anywhere in years.
The striker certainly knows where the goal is, as proven by his stint at Anderlecht, but his gaffe last summer was utterly ludicrous and still leaves us open-mouthed.

An absolutely incredible miss for the Bayern man after rounding the goalkeeper 😱
What was he thinking? 😂 pic.twitter.com/m6MwC2h7Ka
We’re struggling to think of a worse miss in recent years.
Zirkzee had all the time in the world to caress the ball into the back of the net from just a few yards out and put Bayern 2-1 ahead.
But instead of doing that, he decided to take a leisurely stroll after doing all the hard work and subsequently allowed Per Schuurs to make a recovery and clear the ball out for a corner.

You have to praise Schuurs for his never-say-die attitude, though.
He could easily have just let Zirkzee have his pre-season fun and walk the ball over the line after leaving the goalkeeper trailing in his wake, but the defender dug deep and managed to produce a superb goal-saving tackle.
Well played, Per.
