We're struggling to think of a worse miss in recent years.

Zirkzee had all the time in the world to caress the ball into the back of the net from just a few yards out and put Bayern 2-1 ahead.

But instead of doing that, he decided to take a leisurely stroll after doing all the hard work and subsequently allowed Per Schuurs to make a recovery and clear the ball out for a corner.

You have to praise Schuurs for his never-say-die attitude, though.

He could easily have just let Zirkzee have his pre-season fun and walk the ball over the line after leaving the goalkeeper trailing in his wake, but the defender dug deep and managed to produce a superb goal-saving tackle.

Well played, Per.
