Tottenham have not messed around in the transfer market ahead of the upcoming season.
With Antonio Conte in the hot seat and Champions League football secured, they wowed everyone months ago with a handful of shrewd, quickfire signings to bolster their squad.
Consider that they already added Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur in January, their transfer business so far has certainly unnerved their Premier League rivals.
It feels like Spurs are fully embracing the unique position that they're in by having Conte as their manager and seem prepared to back him to the hills, giving him whatever he needs to imprint his serial winning stamp on them.
And while that can come with its quirks - namely signing ageing wing backs - it has also guaranteed success just about everywhere else he has gone.
Tottenham have had an incredible start to the summer, however, recruiting what feels like a seriously well balanced trio. Perisic is the ultimate Conte player, Bissouma blossomed into one of the best midfielders in the Premier League at Brighton, and Fraser Forster has joined to deputise for Hugo Lloris. Not bad at all.
They aren't done there, though, and the double swoop they are seemingly on the cusp of pulling off has just given their first team a completely new level of balance and ability.

Tottenham close in on Richarlison and Clement Lenglet
Per Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports, Spurs are closing in on a £60m deal to sign Everton forward Richarlison, with a deal expected to be completed before the week is out following the signature 'here we go' tweet. Romano also reports that they are on the verge of an agreement with Barcelona to loan in Lenglet, with personal terms already agreed.
That is some serious business. And we're only at the end of June.
Richarlison's eye for goal, constant willingness to run and ability to sell defenders on his best days, combined with the endless finesse of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min? Yes please, Mr. Conte. And as for Lenglet, while injuries have plagued him in recent times, he is capable of finding world class levels when given a run of games.

The pair take Tottenham's window from a good one to a great one, should they be completed, and could absolutely define how their 2022/23 campaign goes.
With how important they could prove to Conte next season and how much they transform the side, it only makes sense to put together a potential starting XI - and it looks fierce.
Spurs' predicted XI featuring Richarlison and Lenglet
Adding the incoming pair into what we consider is Tottenham's strongest side, that is one serious starting XI right there.
Lenglet adds a tremendous balance to the back three being left-footed and comfortable on the ball, complimenting Eric Dier and Cristian Romero incredibly well.
Then into midfield, how about that for a duo? Bentancur and Bissouma can both read the game incredibly well and will do the hard yards defensively as per Conte's instructions, working box-to-box. Don't forget that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is sat on the bench twiddling his thumbs, too. Stacked.
Perisic will flourish in the Premier League for as long as Conte is around, while Emerson Royal gets the nod on the other flank.
There aren't enough words to do justice as to how ridiculously good Kane and Son are as a duo. Adding Richarlison into the mix gives them a completely new dimension, though, and crucially, another outlet for the delightful passes Kane and Son can both play behind defenders.
There isn't a defender in the Premier League that the Brazilian winger fears, so watching him with licence to get at teams with more regularity will certainly be a treat. Surely he can only thrive under Conte's watch, while competing for a spot in the XI with Kulusevski.
Will Spurs' wait for silverware finally end?

It's no secret that Tottenham are absolutely desperate for Conte to end their painful hunt for a trophy.
Spurs haven't won a piece of major silverware since lifting the League Cup in 2007/08. They came bitterly close to winning a Premier League and a Champions League with Mauricio Pochettino, and then decided that Jose Mourinho wasn't the man after hiring him.
But, in fairness, their transfer strategy suggests they are all in on Conte. And who wouldn't be? Back this man and he delivers the goods. He now has a squad that certainly looks capable of winning silverware, thus 2022/23 is time to deliver.
The Premier League title race will prove to be difficult as ever with Manchester City and Liverpool leading the pack, but there is no reason why Spurs can't fight on multiple fronts, and set their sights on domestic cup or even European glory.
