Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool came agonisingly close to immortality last season as they relentlessly pursued an unprecedented quadruple. With 15 minutes of the Premier League season left to run and Aston Villa beating Manchester City, all four trophies were still within Liverpool's grasp. However, City's incredible comeback soon sent a crushing hush around Anfield, wiping out their quadruple dreams in what felt like a heart-beart.Only days later, they would come up against an inspired Thibaut Courtois in the Real Madrid goal as they fell short in the Champions League final. While that last week was certainly one to forget, the season as a whole will live long in the memory. The fact that Liverpool were still in the running for the full quota of silverware right up until the last day of the season was an incredible achievement in and of itself.Klopp has built quite a side at Anfield, and with the signing of Darwin Nunes, is looking to go one better.Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp watching his side from the touchlineLiverpool manager Jurgen Klopp watching his side from the touchlineThe German boss has proved to be the ultimate bargaining chip for Liverpool when going after potential signings, and a lot of that is down to his unrivalled man-management.We can think of countless examples that show just how well Klopp gets on with his players but one of our favourites came during a training session in 2018.The Liverpool social media team gave Klopp full reign over their official Instagram account and he took full advantage. As his players were put through their paces on the treadmill, Klopp was on hand to provide some banter and take the mickey out of the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah. You can see the footage in the clip below:

Brilliant. Klopp is a master at forming incredibly strong bonds with his players.

Sadly, Klopp has had to say good-bye to one of the key stars in the video above with Sadio Mane swapping Merseyside for Bavaria.

Losing Mane will undoubtedly be a blow for Klopp and Liverpool but you can be sure that Klopp will have a plan for a new-era attacking line-up.

Luis Diaz is only going to get better, Darwin has the potential to be something truly special and, of course, there is the small matter of Salah still to contend with.

With a supporting cast boasting the likes of Harvey Elliott and new signing Fabio Carvalho also at hand, the future looks very bright for the Reds.
