Logan Paul joins WWE: YouTuber's not-so-subtle plug for Prime drink in signing photos

Logan Paul has now signed full-time with WWE

In news that came slightly out of left-field, Logan Paul was announced today as a WWE Superstar, having signed a contract with the company this week.

Paul impressed at WrestleMania 38 in his in-ring debut, and while many fans did think that he’d work with WWE again, not many expected him to sign a full-time contract.

Logan, who has over 23 million subscribers on YouTube, announced the move to his followers on social media today, with WWE following up with a statement shortly afterwards.

He also shared some photos of him, the first since signing with WWE, where he’s posing alongside interim WWE CEO and Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon, as well as Triple H.

Fans noticed in the photos that Paul was, in the least subtle way possible, promoting another of his business ventures.

Alongside British YouTube KSI, Paul launched the Prime energy drink last year, with the drink finally dropping in the UK last week.

A bottle of Prime was in full focus on the desk as Logan posed with Stephanie and Hunter at WWE’s Headquarters in Stanford.

Paul also brought out the drink with him during his segments with The Miz in the lead-up to WrestleMania, clearly seeing WWE’s huge audience as an opportunity to promote his venture.

The signing is a pretty big one for WWE, with Paul’s huge following automatically making him, in the eyes of many, the most famous WWE Superstar on the roster right now.

The fact he’s signed a deal makes it seem like he’s going to be making more than just one-off appearance once a year for the big shows, so expect him to be involved more frequently from here on.

His full-time WWE journey is likely to start next week, with next week’s Raw being the first on the road to SummerSlam.

At the show, which is set to take place on July 30 in Nashville, Paul is rumoured to be going one-on-one with The Miz, who he teamed up with during his impressive showing at WrestleMania in April.

So, if you’re a regular watcher of WWE TV, don’t be too surprised to see Logan on your screens on Monday night next week, or even at Money in the Bank on Saturday night, if WWE wants to bring him in for the show.

You can watch WWE Money in the Bank live in the US on Peacock on Saturday night, or over in the UK at the same time on the WWE Network.
