A space hopper race between McLaren drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris ended in drama as the pair threw the rule book out the window. The two are currently preparing for this weekend’s British Grand Prix but they took time out from their busy schedule to take part in the light-hearted race.In the car, the pair have not been enjoying as much success as they would have hoped recently as they have been struggling to keep up with their rival teams. They both finished outside the points at the most recent Grand Prix in Canada which led to frustrations from both of the drivers.Ricciardo finished in 11th place and Norris could only muster up a 15th position finish – but despite that McLaren still sit fourth in the constructor’s championship.Max Verstappen went on to win the race to extend his lead at the top of the driver’s championship to 46 points. It has been extremely difficult for McLaren to compete with Red Bull and Ferrari this season as they just don’t have the car to mount a serious challenge.NORTHAMPTON, ENGLAND - JUNE 30: Lando Norris of Great Britain and McLaren and Daniel Ricciardo of Australia and McLaren talk to the crowd during previews ahead of the F1 Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone on June 30, 2022 in Northampton, England. Attempting to cheat, the British driver decided to run to the finish line after picking up his space hopper.

The 32-year-old noticed and flung his space hopper at Norris, with it hitting him in the face.

The hilarious moment led to laughter from both drivers and the Brit was heard saying ‘I can’t see’, after the incident.Â
