Redfall: New trailer reveals playable characters and more

Redfall trailer

The upcoming co-op, first-person shooter video game Redfall might have been delayed until 2023, but its trailer has revealed exciting details.

The first real gameplay trailer, shown earlier this month at Xbox and Bethesda’s showcase, was a more focused trailer that welcomed players to its world.

Now, a new trailer specifically highlights Redfall, the vampire-infested island town in the video game, along with the four playable characters.

Open world games have grown in popularity in recent years, and Redfall plans to enter that market with their hero-based vampire-slaying game.

So if you want to journey with a friend into a world controlled by blood-sucking creatures, then you surely want to check out the Redfall’s official trailer which was released on Thursday 30th June 2022.

Redfall co-op trailer

Redfall's characters have been revealed ahead of its upcoming release.

Bethesda released the latest trailer for Redfall, which is mainly about the open world and how players will interact with it.

In the latest trailer, it is stated that players are able to go solo or join forces for up to four player cooperative action in Redfall, an open-world story-driven FPS from the developers of Dishonored and Prey.

So if you’re a fan and into this kind of genre then this is perfect for you. However, luckily, this isn’t a Destiny 2 MMORPG like many in the gaming community had thought.

As also described in the trailer, the cast includes Layla Ellison, a biomedical engineering student with telekinetic abilities, Jacob Boyer, a former Marine with a vampire’s eye and a spectral raven, and Remi de la Rosa, a combat engineer with her robot, and Devinder Crousley, an inventor obsessed with cryptids.

One notable aspect is that the developers anticipated that the zoomers would enjoy this premise and run with it. Vampires appear to be the primary antagonistic force, though other strange monsters will also appear.

“Our vampires aren’t some aspirational fantasy,” Harvey Smith, Redfall’s creative director, stated on Bethesda’s blog. “They’re predatory monsters who prey on the weak to grow stronger.”

A simple one to begin with, we beg you know this – otherwise I’d just stop here.

This trailer follows Redfall’s gameplay debut three weeks ago. It’s a shame we’ll have to wait until next year to get our hands on this one.

As previously stated, Redfall will be released in 2023 for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass, as are all of Xbox’s first-party games.
