Mohamed Salah has signed a new Liverpool contract, keeping him at the club until at least 2025.
Following months of speculation and the very real possibility that he could leave for free next summer, the Reds have secured the future of their star man, making him their highest paid player ever in doing so.
Salah's extension was confirmed by Liverpool's official Twitter account, with their website providing further details about the new contract.
James Pearce of The Athletic and Paul Joyce of The Times both report that Salah has penned a deal worth in excess of £350,000-per-week, putting to bed previous financial disagreements that had seen negotiations begin to stall.
Speaking to Liverpool's official website, the Egypt international explained his delight over the extension: "I feel great and [I am] excited to win trophies with the club. It's a happy day for everyone."
When asked about his future ambitions, Salah was adamant that he can maintain his jaw-dropping on-pitch levels into his thirties, and opened up on his journey with Liverpool so far: "We won so many things together.
"We had some disappointments, but this is football. I have enjoyed my football here at the club and hopefully I will continue to enjoy it and win many trophies."
Salah's legacy at Liverpool
Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has become integral in their ascent under Jurgen Klopp. They reached the Champions League final in his first season with the club, being bettered only by Real Madrid as they were defeated in Kiev.
They avenged the defeat the following season, however, beating Tottenham in the final to clinch the club's first Champions League since 2005 and the sixth in their history.

Liverpool have also enjoyed a return to the top of the domestic tree with Salah's help, winning their first Premier League title in 2019/20 and forging a rivalry with Manchester City that has seen the two sides unlock incredible levels in scraps to win the league.
Salah has become one of the best players in world football since heading to Merseyside in a then club-record £36.9 million transfer. He's a three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner, a two-time FWA Player of the Year and PFA Players' Player of the Year, a one-time Premier League Player of the Season, and has already become Liverpool's ninth-highest scorer of all time.
That alone is enough to confirm his gargantuan impact on the club. But in actual fact, it barely scratches the surface when looking at the records Salah has set at Liverpool.

Where do we even start with this? A glance at the graphic is enough to show that Salah is a machine, with an output that very few in football can match right now.
Let's begin at Old Trafford. Liverpool rocked up to the ground of bitter rivals Manchester United in 2021, and with the Red Devils on the ropes leading up to the clash, Salah smelled blood.
He absolutely ran riot, needing only 49 minutes to fire a hat-trick against United in a scintillating display, becoming the first opposition player to ever score three goals at the historic ground.

Nobody would've been able to imagine an African forward coming into the Premier League and bettering the incredible firing rate of Ivory Coast and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, who bagged 105 Premier League goals. That was until Salah returned in 2017, shattering a record set by the legend of his former employers. And now he's set to stay until at least 2025, that's a record he will only improve on.
It took him just 69 games to bag 50 Premier League goals for Liverpool, bettering Fernando Torres' 72 game record.
He's also dwarfed Steven Gerrard's record of most European Cup goals for Liverpool with 33 and counting, while needing just 116 games to notch 100 Premier League goals and assists, bettering Sergio Aguero's 118 games and taking the record for a non-European.

You get the point, don't you? Salah is an unfiltered, unhinged, complete and utter record-shattering machine. It's insane to think people doubted Liverpool's decision to make him their record signing in 2017, but nobody ever imagined he'd become this unstoppable.
Salah is already a legend on Merseyside for his services to Liverpool and the way he has endeared himself to fans. Keeping him around has proven far from cheap, but when you're that rampant a record breaker, trophy hunter and goal scorer, it's absolutely worth every penny. The man is absolutely priceless, and will only become more important following Sadio Mane's recent departure.
