Mohamed Salah: Liverpool star's reaction to new deal captured in video

It’s official: Mohamed Salah will remain a Liverpool player until 2025.

After months of negotiations and seemingly endless rumours, the Reds officially confirmed on Friday afternoon that their world-class attacker has put pen to paper on a lucrative three-year contract.

Salah‘s new Liverpool deal was sorted while the player was on holiday in Mykonos, with all the videos announcing the major update captured on the Greek island.

It really was a day to remember for Liverpool, with fans on social media making their feelings of joy clear for all to see.

Salah and his team appeared to be just as ecstatic when the contract extension was made public knowledge by the club.

How do we know that? Well, footage that’s cropped up online appears to show the reaction from the Egyptian and those with him out in Mykonos following the blockbuster announcement by Liverpool.

Absolute scenes in Mykonos!

Now, many will rightly ask; how can we be sure that the people in the video are Salah and his entourage?

We obviously cannot be 100% certain, but an image posted on Instagram by Egyptian YouTube star Amr Nassouhy suggests it’s very likely indeed.

The clothes worn by the trio in the picture look incredibly similar to those seen in the video, which is why it’s probably safe to assume it is Salah and his friends in the footage above.

So, the debacle surrounding the future of the 2021/22 PFA Players’ Player of the Year is finally over and that is a massive boost for Liverpool going into the new season.

Sadio Mane‘s move to Bayern Munich took the sting out of Darwin Nunez’s big-money arrival somewhat, but Salah’s extension has certainly reversed that.

Supporters can now look forward to Nunez, Salah, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota wreaking havoc on defenders in both the Premier League and Champions League in 2022/23.

Can they pip a Manchester City side with Erling Haaland leading the line to the title?

It certainly won’t be easy, however, you can never rule out Klopp’s Liverpool – especially with a motivated and settled Salah orchestrating the attack.
