Red Bull took a one-two in the final practice session for the British Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen going fastest ahead of Sergio Perez.

Friday had proven a little difficult for the Bulls with the wet FP1 limiting running and FP2 seeing their fastest time, via Verstappen, only put them fourth.

Indeed, Christian Horner revealed on Saturday morning that Perez in the other RB18 had been struggling with one or two issues, which were fixed overnight, and Helmut Marko had said that they were finding it tough to find the right balance with the car.

Those issues, though, appear to be a thing of the past already with both drivers looking far more settled in the car in the first hour of running today.

Behind them, the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc and then the two Mercedes cars of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton, which suggests once again that the Mercs are going to be in the pole position battle later this afternoon.

Carlos Sainz, meanwhile, was sixth-fastest in the Ferrari ahead of Lando Norris, Valtteri Bottas, Mick Schumacher and Fernando Alonso in the Alpine.

Outside the usual suspects up at the front, Norris will hope his McLaren can continue showing decent pace to get back to winning points after a poor weekend in Canada for the whole team, whilst Bottas said yesterday that just finding a couple of tenths could be the difference between Q2 and Q3 - he'll hope this session is a sign he has found them.

Schumacher, meanwhile, deserves credit for posting in the top 10 after a really difficult FP2 that saw him down near the bottom of the timesheets, and Alonso again looks in decent shape in the Alpine, and he may well be hoping for the predicted wet weather in qualifying to materialise so he can deliver a similar performance to the one he did in Montreal where he ended up on the front row.

Up next, qualifying at 3pm.
