Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy deserves credit for backing Antonio Conte 'massively' in the transfer window and even more fresh faces could head to Hotspur Way, according to The Sun journalist Tom Barclay.

Conte was appointed as Spurs' head coach last November and, ahead of the Italian's first full season at the helm, he has wasted no time in bolstering his squad with reinforcements.

Who have Spurs signed so far?

Spurs took their summer spending spree up a notch when they completed the signing of Everton striker Richarlison on Friday.

The deal has seen the north Londoners part with an initial £50million, while another £10million could eventually head to Goodison Park in add-ons.

That came after Tottenham had already spent big on Brighton & Hove Albion central midfielder Yves Bissouma, whose move could end up being worth £35million.

Fraser Forster is set to provide first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris with competition after joining following the expiry of his contract with Premier League rivals Southampton.

Ivan Perisic was Spurs' first addition of the summer, with the Croatian agreeing to head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after running down his Inter Milan deal.

What has Tom Barclay said about the situation?

Barclay believes Levy deserves praise after following through with his promise to back Conte in the transfer market.

The journalist feels these are exciting times for Spurs fans and even more stars could follow Richarlison, Bissouma, Forster and Perisic to north London.

Barclay told GIVEMESPORT: "You've got to give credit to Daniel Levy because Conte seemed to make it clear last season that he wouldn't be hanging around if he didn't get what he wanted or didn't see the club matching his ambition.

"They've backed it up massively and have already spent £90million on Bissouma and Richarlison, along with free transfers for the other guys. Perisic is a really good signing and not going to be on cheap wages.

"It looks like there's more to come, so suddenly Tottenham have gone from having a very good XI, with not as much to back it up with when you compare it to Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea, to having real squad depth. I think they could be a really, really interesting team to cover this season."

Who have Spurs been linked with?

Spurs appear to be closing in on the loan addition of centre-half Clement Lenglet as transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed negotiations are into the final stages with Barcelona and personal terms have already been agreed.

Djed Spence could also be on his way to Tottenham as they have entered advanced talks to sign the 21-year-old from Championship side Middlesbrough.

The north Londoners have entered the race to acquire free agent Jesse Lingard, fresh from his Manchester United contract expiring at the end of last month, as well.
