Israel Adesanya's reign as UFC middleweight champion continues.

The Last Stylebender retained the 185lb belt in the main event of UFC 276 in Las Vegas, Nevada with a routine victory over Jared Cannonier, who he comfortably outclassed on the feet without as much as breaking a sweat.

In the co-main event of the evening, Alexander Volkanovski also successfully defended his featherweight title against Max Holloway in one of the most anticipated trilogy fights in MMA history.

But the performance of the night arguably came in the form of the tasty final eliminator between Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira, which the latter won courtesy of an incredible first-round knockout.

UFC 276 Results

Main Card

Israel Adesanya vs Jared Cannonier - Adesanya def. Cannonier via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 50-45)

After five rounds of fighting, Adesanya retained his title against Cannonier by unanimous decision.

Other than that there wasn't much else to report apart from his epic Undertaker entrance.

Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway - Volkanovski def. Holloway via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45)

The first this pair fought, it was the subject of much debate. The second time they fought, some fans cried a robbery.

This time, however, it wasn't even close. Volkanovski proved once again why he is the best featherweight on the planet.

After dispatching Sean Strickland in the first round, Alex Pereira, left, has his eyes set on champion Israel Adesanya

Sean Strickland vs Alex Pereira - Pereira def. Strickland via KO (punch) - Round 1, 2:36

Pereira dropped Strickland with a perfect left hook just minutes into their middleweight fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and that was pretty much that.

The win likely sets up an unofficial trilogy of sorts between Pereira and Adesanya.

Robbie Lawler vs Bryan Barbarena - Barbarena def. Lawler via TKO (strikes) - Round 2, 4:47

Take a bow, Bryan Barbarena.

Barbarena weathered an early storm before he sent Lawler stumbling backwards across the cage with a barrage of unanswered strikes.

Pedro Munhoz vs Sean O'Malley - No-contest (accidental eye poke)

The least said about that one the better.

In all honesty it was a bit of a damp squib before the unthinkable happened.

Donald Cerrone announced his retirement following his submission loss to Jim Miller at UFC 276

Brad Riddell vs Jalin Turner - Turner def. Riddell (guillotine choke) - Round 1, 0:45

No-one does that to Brad Riddell. Well, Jalin Turner just did, and he made it look easy.

In the words of Dana White, 'If you don't know, now you know.'

Jim Miller vs Donald Cerrone - Miller def. Cerrone (guillotine choke) - Round 2, 1:32

Cerrone started the contest well, though he ultimately was made to pay for an unfortunate slip in the second round.

If that was it, then so be it. So long, Cowboy - it's been a blast.

Ian Garry vs Gabe Green - Garry def. Green via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Ian Garry may still be very green in terms of his in-cage experience, but it certainly didn't show against a live dog in the form of Gabe Green.

The Irishman used his long frame to his advantage, methodically picking his opponent apart with a variety of different attacks to keep his undefeated record intact.

Brad Tavares vs Dricus Du Plessis - Du Plessis def. Tavares via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Tavares and Du Plessis put on a classic at the T-Mobile Arena, with both men having their moments throughout the fight.

But in the end, there could only be one winner, as the South African overcame some early adversity and went to work late in the second - in which he opened up a nasty-looking cut on Tavares - and third rounds, with his output enough for him to pick up his third Octagon win.

UFC 276 Results: Andre Muniz completely smothered Uriah Hall

Uriah Hall vs Andre Muniz - Muniz def. Hall via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

As predicted Muniz comprehensively outworked Hall - who visibly started to fatigue at the end of the first round - with his offensive wrestling and grappling to get the nod on the judges' scorecards.

Jessica Eye vs Maycee Barber - Barber def. Eye via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)

Barber largely dominated a dogged Eye with her relentless forward pressure and crisp striking, which her more experienced foe had very little answer for.

Jessica-Rose Clark vs Julija Stoliarenko - Stoliarenko def. Clark via submission (armbar) - Round 1, 0:42

Stoliarenko took control right from the start, landing an early takedown before bending Clark's arm in the wrong direction which forced her to tap.
