Cristiano Ronaldo: Piers Morgan reveals the message he sent Man Utd star

Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United.
Stunning reports from The Times emerged on Saturday evening that suggested the Portuguese superstar wants Champions League football and is keen to depart Old Trafford this summer.
Ronaldo, 37, has played in Europe’s premier competition for the last 19 years and is the record goalscorer in Champions League history.
But after United finished sixth in the Premier League – as well as experiencing another trophyless campaign – the club are preparing for life in the Europa League.
Who will sign Ronaldo?
United will be joining Premier League rivals Arsenal in the Europa League so a move to the Emirates certainly seems off the cards.
Piers Morgan’s message to Cristiano Ronaldo
However, try telling that to Ronaldo’s No.1 fan, Piers Morgan.
Immediately after the reports first broke, Morgan shared an image of him presenting Ronaldo with an Arsenal shirt with his name and No.7 on the back. Ronaldo along with his girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez, can be seen smiling and laughing at the jersey.

After one fan responded with “In your dreams, Piers,” Morgan revealed the message he’s sent Ronaldo following the news that he wants to leave Man Utd.
Morgan replied saying: “It is, but Cristiano likes breaking new ground in football & I just told him that God + Jesus upfront is an irresistible opportunity…”

God + Jesus upfront. Very clever.
Of course, Morgan is referring to Gabriel Jesus who is set to be officially announced by Arsenal in the coming days following a £45 million move from Manchester City.
And Morgan has shown his undying love for Ronaldo once again by dubbing him ‘God.’
Sorry Piers, we certainly can’t see this happening no matter how much you want it to.
Gary Neville & Jamie Carragher in Twitter spat over Ronaldo
It’s not just Morgan who has been reacting to the ‘Ronaldo wants out’ news.
Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher have got themselves into a Twitter spat over the reports.
Carragher started it by tweeting: “Ronaldo did exactly what I thought he would do, score goals but make the team worse. The transfer request also kills the idea he turned down Man City because of his love for Man United,” signing off with a crying laughing emoji.

Neville responded with: “I get it, you’re full of yourselves but he can turn down City for United because he likes them more and still want to leave this summer. He left before but still loved the club.
“Enjoy Saturday night and your short period of success,” he added in reference to Liverpool’s recent trophy wins.

But Carragher hit back: “City didn’t want him you (clown face emoji) and you’re the same fella who kept saying it was like Elvis had arrived in Manchester! Elvis has left the building,” followed by more crying laughing faces.

It will certainly be interesting to see where Ronaldo ends up this summer or whether he remains at the Threatre of Dreams.
One thing is for sure, he won’t be signing for Arsenal…
