Last night, WWE headed to the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas for Money in the Bank, one of the biggest shows of the year. The show featured some incredible moments, including Liv Morgan winning Money in the Bank and then becoming SmackDown Women's Champion less than two hours later. But what really caught the attention of fans during the broadcast was a video package that WWE aired. The vignette, which you can see below, was rather creepy, and fans really weren't sure who or what it was all about.

The working theory amongst fans was that the vignette was to promote the return of Bray Wyatt, who left WWE in July 2021.

While nothing has been reported, many fans have been speculating for some time that Wyatt is returning to WWE in some capacity.

If it isn't Wyatt, some fans also thought that the video package could be about Gable Steveson, with an Olympic medal being shown during the shot.

However, a new report has emerged, and it seems like the vignette isn't about Bray or Gable, at least as of right now.

Fightful Select is reporting that the video package aired to start promoting the return of Edge, who was last seen on WWE TV on June 9.

During his last appearance, Edge was kicked out of Judgement Day by Rhea Ripley, Damian Priest and new member Finn Balor.

The report suggests that Edge is coming back to TV soon, and this video package was the start of that process.

Fightful Select has been told that the working plan was for them to represent Edge.

Edge is set to be a babyface when he returns to WWE

The video package featured what is believed to be little nods to some fo Edge's former rivals during his time with WWE.

The shot featured some of Jeff Hardy's armbands, the Dudley Boyz's glasses, a Lation heat numberplate for Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle's Olympic gold medal, and even a cross to symbolise Christian.

As you can see below, it seems like the idea is that Edge is going to be revisiting his past, including some of his biggest rivalries, before returning to TV and fighting Balor.

Pretty much from the moment he was taken off TV and removed from Judgement Day, many fans thought that Edge would be returning in time for a major SummerSlam match with Balor.

While that hasn't been confirmed, the fact the vignette aired four weeks before the big show in Nashville certainly makes that a likely idea.
