Both Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler had to be separated by security at UFC 276 at the T-Mobile ArenaHeadlined by Israel Adesanya vs Jared Cannonier, the event was attended by many celebrities and sporting iconsSitting cage-side was Chandler and the former UFC interim lightweight champion Poirier. Top welterweight contender Gilbert Burns filmed the altercation between the two.The verbal spat lasted just 30 seconds with both Chandler and Poirier looking very angry.Security had to stop things from getting physical in Las Vegas. The light heavyweight champion, Jiri Prochazka had to step in and restrain Poirier.In the video, Poirier appeared to call Chandler “a fake motherf****r.” He also added, “I’ll f*** you up.”Chandler is coming off of a knockout win over the former interim champion, Tony Ferguson back in May.After the fight, Chandler called for a fight against Charles Oliveira or Justin Gaethje. He also said he would be willing to fight Conor McGregor at welterweight. 

As for Poirier, he has not fought since his defeat to Oliveira back in December at UFC 269. In a recent interview, Chandler claimed that Poirier was a ‘quitter’ and is not a ‘big draw.’

Responding to the comments, Poirier said: “You think the guy [Chandler] forgot about me? The route to the title shot? 

“I'm number one [Oliveira as de-facto champion]. Yeah, and who's a draw? Bro, I'm not that guy to pick on people and do this and stuff like that, but if we go to the numbers which don't lie, you were supporting cast in the last pay-per-view you fought on.

“Look at the numbers. What did we sell, six something? What did they sell, over four hundred?

"I mean, who's a draw, I don't know, I don't really play that s*** because I don't care, but don't say something you can find out the numbers [for].'

“He's never beaten anybody coming off a win in the UFC, Ariel! He's been dropped in his last three fights. What are Dan Hooker's last five fights and what are Tony Ferguson's last five fights, the two guys he beat in the UFC?

"I'm not talking trash, I'm stating facts. It's whatever. I'll fight him to, I don't care, just book me a fight.”

Both men have not got a fight booked. With Poirier ranked number two in the division, a fight between Poirier and Chandler could be made in the near future.
