Cristiano Ronaldo: Patrice Evra posted conversation about Man Utd return

Cristiano Ronaldo has informed Manchester United of his desire to leave the club this summer.
As we reported HERE on Saturday afternoon, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has asked the Red Devils to accept a suitable offer, should one arrive during the transfer window.
It was something of a bombshell development, as it appeared new manager Erik ten Hag was eager to work with Ronaldo in 2022/23.
The Portuguese’s decision to push for a move away from United less than a year after his return is reportedly due to his need for Champions League football, as well as the team’s lack of productivity in the market thus far.
At the age of 37, Ronaldo wants to be in a team competing for major honours, not one playing in the Europa League.
The Portuguese was United’s leading scorer in 2021/22 with 24 goals, but even his brilliance couldn’t propel the side into Europe’s top-tier competition for next season.
It’s a real shame how things have panned out with regards to Ronaldo’s Old Trafford return.

Last year, it was pure pandemonium when news of the global icon’s transfer to United from Juventus became public knowledge.
The fact Ronaldo was also being heavily linked with a move to Manchester City at the time only added fuel to the fire.
And in the midst of all the chaos late in August of last year, Ronaldo’s former teammate Patrice Evra leaked the WhatsApp conversation the pair had.
Check it out here…

After Ronaldo told Evra that he’s doing well, he added: “Im gonna play in our club”.
Later on in the day, after United had officially announced the blockbuster transfer, Ronaldo said: “Yes.”
Evra excitedly replied: “I love you so much”.
If only we could listen to those voice notes from Evra….

What now for Ronaldo?
So, with Ronaldo eager to leave United for a second time, the question that has to be asked is; where will he be playing his football in 2022/23?
Bayern Munich were touted as a possible destination, but the ever-reliable Christian Falk has stated that the Bundesliga champions are not currently keen on the transfer.

According to The Telegraph, United are prepared to play hardball and they fully expect Ronaldo to complete the second year of his lucrative contract.
You get the feeling this is just the very start of a prolonged transfer saga…
