Liv Morgan won the SmackDown Women's Championship last night, hours after winning the women's ladder match at WWE Money in the Bank.

The show opened with Liv winning the ladder match, beating out Alexa Bliss, Lacey Evans, Shotzi, Becky Lynch, Asuka and Raquel Rodriguez.

And after the penultimate match, which saw Ronda Rousey defend SmackDown Women's Championship over Natalya, Morgan decided to cash in.

Ronda tweaked her knee during her retention, so Liv decided to capitalise and cash in less than two hours after winning the briefcase.

At one stage in the match, it seemed like Rousey was going to beat the former NXT star, but Liv was able to roll her up and score the biggest win of her career.

Her reign as SmackDown Women's Champion is the first time that Liv has held any title during her time with WWE, so it was undoubtedly a massive night for her.

Morgan is one of the most popular WWE Superstars when it comes to the reactions from fans, and that was on full display last night.

The Las Vegas crowd, as you can hear below, lost their mind when Morgan's music hit and it was clear that she'd be cashing in her briefcase.

The crowd booed heavily when Ronda had Liv in the ankle lock, clearing wanting the 28-year-old to beat the former UFC star.

And then the pop when Liv pinned Ronda and won the title was out of this world, and will likely go down as one of the loudest of the entire year.

The moment was huge for Morgan, as we've covered already, and rumours suggest that we've got Rousey to thank for that.

Rumours have suggested that Ronda didn't want to be champion, and told WWE to put the title on someone passionate, with that honour going to Liv, which you can read more about by clicking here.

That isn't all, as Liv and Ronda also shared an emotional exchange and embrace after the match had ended.

The moment felt very real, as opposed to being something that WWE had scripted, and Liv has now revealed that the former champion told her.

Speaking with BT Sport during the show, Morgan revealed the three-word message that Ronda gave to her, which you can also find out more about by clicking right here.

Reports state that Ronda and Liv will be going one-on-one in a scheduled match at SummerSlam on July 30 in Nashville, so WWE fans have that to look forward to later this month.
