City have signed the 26-year-old midfielder from Leeds United in a deal worth between £45 million and £50 million, according to Sky Sports.

Phillips, who has been capped 23 times by England, told his new employers’ official website: “City have again proved to the best team in the country with an amazing squad and a manager in Pep Guardiola who is rightly considered to be the finest in the world.”
